🏆 Sports Recap

  • Dallas Stars: The Stars edged out the Jets 2–1 in overtime on Saturday to punch their ticket to the Western Conference Finals for the third time in five years. Thomas Harley netted the game-winner on a power play just 1:33 into OT, while Jake Oettinger stood tall with 22 saves. Up next: a high-stakes showdown against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, with Game 1 set for tonight in Dallas.

  • Texas Rangers: The Rangers dropped their Tuesday matchup against the Yankees, 5–2, with Jonah Heim’s late two-run homer providing the only offense. Patrick Corbin gave up three runs over five innings, and manager Bruce Bochy was ejected after a heated exchange over a strike call. The Rangers stay on the road with two more games in New York before heading to Chicago this weekend for a three-game series against the White Sox.

  • FC Dallas: FC Dallas fell 2–0 to the Houston Dynamo on Saturday in a tough rivalry loss at home. The offense struggled to create chances, and defensive lapses allowed Houston to pull away in the second half. Dallas will look to bounce back tonight when they face the NY Red Bulls in the U.S. Open Cup.

🌮 Where to Eat Next

Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine

I stumbled upon Delucca Gaucho last weekend and I'm still thinking about it days later. If you haven't experienced this pizza joint yet, you're seriously missing out.

Think of it as a churrascaria (Brazilian Steakhouse), but for pizza lovers. Servers roam around with freshly baked pies, slicing pieces tableside until you flip your card to "no más."

For one fixed price, you'll get to sample over a dozen different pizzas, from classics like pepperoni to unexpected combinations like fig and prosciutto or their famous Brazilian picanha steak pizza.

The atmosphere hits that perfect sweet spot between upscale and comfortable. Great for date night, but you won't feel out of place in jeans either. Their wine selection is impressive and reasonably priced, which is always a plus in my book.
